Though we both find ourselves very busy in the summer months, we always find the time for a crafting project…or two or three! Here are a couple of the things we’ve been working on.

Linda’s Current Projects

We could use a few more hand towels, so I am knitting one right now, in 100% cotton yarn.

I have also been making red, white, and blue barrettes and hair scrunchies for the 4th of July! (Obviously there are still some loose yarn ends that need to be dealt with…)

Katherine’s Current Projects

As well as re-arranging my beading supplies as I get the time, I have been crocheting a baby blanket in various shades of yellow and orange.

I’ve also devoted quite a bit of time to crocheting a hat using a vintage hat pattern. I’ve reached the point where some imagination will be called for, as the original pattern calls for a hat frame which, to the best of my knowledge, is no longer available to buy. I hope to achieve a similar-enough effect by using pipe cleaner to give the hat a little bit of shape and stiffness…which it will need, since it looks a bit like a boat currently!

What craft projects have you been working on, and what are you most looking forward to doing this summer?

Happy crafting!
