Linda Katherine Crafts: We are a mother (Linda) and daughter (Katherine) who love the world of yarn-craft and jewelry, and we enjoy making new creations to share.
Our Story
Living in a fun and active household full of males (including husband/Dad and Katherine’s four brothers), we treasure spending a bit of our time indulging in these feminine pursuits!
I (Linda) was taught to crochet by a favorite aunt when I was about 10 years old, and I loved it from the very beginning. That love of crocheting that was born in my childhood has traveled with me through all of the seasons of my life. A friend taught me how to knit in college, and I get great enjoyment from that too! Some knitted designs will be making an appearance in our shop in the future…
By the time Katherine turned 10, she already loved crocheting too, but she has blazed her own trail with jewelry-making. She surprised and amazed me several years ago at Christmas by presenting me with 2 lovely pairs of earrings that she had crafted from old broken jewelry and faux pearl buttons. They quickly became my favorites, and every time I wore them, I received compliments on them. She works with new beads as well, but especially delights in using old, broken, or forgotten pieces of jewelry in her designs so that they can be cherished anew. We have been pleased to add some of Katherine’s designs to Linda Katherine Crafts!
